📖 About 4 Mile Beach
Four Mile Beach is Port Douglas's iconic main beach, stretching four kilometres of golden sand just a short walk from Macrossan Street, backed by tropical palms with views towards the Daintree rainforest. The beach is patrolled by Surf Life Saving Queensland members year-round, with a stinger-resistant enclosure deployed from approximately November to May to protect swimmers from marine stingers. It's the centrepiece of Far North Queensland's most glamorous resort town and suits everyone from morning joggers to snorkellers exploring the shallows.
