📖 About Adventure Bay Beach

Adventure Bay Beach is a sweeping sandy beach on the eastern shore of Bruny Island, Tasmania, about 75 kilometres south of Hobart in one of Australia's most historically significant anchorages. The bay was first sighted by Abel Tasman in 1642 and later visited by Captain Cook, William Bligh, and the French explorer d'Entrecasteaux, each leaving their mark on a landscape of remarkable natural beauty framed by bush-clad hills. Today it offers superb swimming, kayaking, and scenic walks in an unhurried island setting, making it a highlight of any Bruny Island visit.
