📖 About Bilinga Beach

Bilinga Beach is a long surf beach on the Gold Coast–Tweed Heads border, backed by the Gold Coast Airport precinct and protected in parts by seawalls and groynes. Home to the Bilinga Surf Life Saving Club — founded after a tragic drowning in 1937 — the beach has a proud patrolled history and an active Nippers program. The character of the beach shifts from north to south, offering both calmer swimming conditions and open surf, with periodic sand nourishment keeping the wide, sandy shoreline in good shape.
