📖 About Box Beach

Box Beach is a pristine 350-metre surf beach within Tomaree National Park, near Shoal Bay in the Port Stephens region of NSW. Flanked by dramatic 100-metre headlands and accessible via a short 200-metre boardwalk from the car park, it sits within the Port Stephens–Great Lakes Marine Park as a coastal habitat protection zone. Waves average around 1 metre with rips forming against the headlands in bigger swell, making it best suited to experienced swimmers and surfers seeking a secluded escape.
