๐Ÿ“– About Cable Beach

Cable Beach is a world-famous 22-kilometre sweep of white sand fronting the Indian Ocean at Broome in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, named after the telegraph cable laid to Java in 1889. Red ochre cliffs backdrop the beach, and sunset camel rides along the waterline have become an iconic Broome ritual, while dinosaur footprints estimated at 130 million years old are exposed in the rocks at Gantheaume Point at the beach's southern tip. It is one of Australia's most celebrated coastal destinations, perfectly suited to families, couples, and travellers chasing the classic outback-meets-ocean experience.
