Cape Clinton (South 1) is a remote, undeveloped coastal beach on the Central Queensland coast, situated near Rockhampton at approximately latitude 22°S. Part of a series of exposed beaches along the rugged Cape Clinton headland, it is accessible primarily by four-wheel drive and rewards adventurous visitors with solitude, pristine sands, and excellent fishing. The beach is entirely unpatrolled and best suited to experienced beachgoers and anglers seeking off-the-beaten-track coastal Queensland.
