📖 About Combe Pt (E)

Combe Point East is an extremely remote beach on the eastern shore of Combe Point, a headland on the western side of the Gulf of Carpentaria in Far North Queensland, well beyond the reach of any sealed road. This part of the coastline, accessible only by 4WD across Cape York tracks or by boat, is virtually untouched and visited mainly by adventurous overlanders travelling the Cape York Peninsula in the dry season. Fishing for barramundi, threadfin salmon and trevally is the main draw, with panoramic views across the gulf and abundant birdlife adding to the appeal.
