Comboyuro Point is a coastal headland on Moreton Island (Mulgumpin), a magnificent sand island in Moreton Bay about 58 kilometres north-east of Brisbane that ranks as the third largest sand island in the world. The point sits within the Moreton Island National Park, which covers 98% of the island, offering pristine beaches, dramatic sand dunes including the towering Mount Tempest, world-class snorkelling over the famous Tangalooma wrecks, and outstanding 4WD touring. The island is accessible by a 75-minute ferry from Brisbane and suits adventurous day-trippers and campers who want a wild island experience close to the city.
