Dendy Street Beach is one of Melbourne's most iconic and photographed beach spots at Brighton, where a row of 82 colourful bathing boxes lines the shore of Port Phillip Bay about 14 kilometres south-east of the CBD. The bathing boxes — privately owned, heritage-listed, and famously painted in bold stripes and patterns — have become a symbol of Melbourne's bayside culture and one of Australia's most recognisable beach scenes.
