📖 About Dendy Street Beach
Dendy Street Beach is one of Melbourne's most iconic and photographed beach spots at Brighton, where a row of 82 colourful bathing boxes lines the shore of Port Phillip Bay about 14 kilometres south-east of the CBD. The bathing boxes — privately owned, heritage-listed, and famously painted in bold stripes and patterns — have become a symbol of Melbourne's bayside culture and one of Australia's most recognisable beach scenes. Beyond the photo opportunities, the beach itself offers calm, sheltered bay swimming in a well-heeled seaside suburb with excellent café and dining options close by.
