๐Ÿ“– About Flinders Bay

Flinders Bay is a sweeping bay immediately south of the historic town of Augusta in south-western WA, sitting close to the mouth of the Blackwood River and just east of Cape Leeuwin โ€” the most south-westerly point of mainland Australia where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet. The bay has a rich maritime heritage as a former whaling and fishing hub, and today is renowned for whale watching from June to September when humpback and southern right whales pass close to shore. Calm sections are well suited to swimming, kayaking, and fishing.
