๐Ÿ“– About Freers Beach

Freers Beach is a popular sandy beach in Port Sorell on Tasmania's north coast, home to the Port Sorell Surf Life Saving Club (founded 1986) at its northern end. The area enjoys an unusually warm microclimate for Tasmania, making it a favourite summer destination for families, swimmers, and water sports enthusiasts. At low tide, walkers can stroll across to nearby Penguin and Rabbit Islands, and the beach hosts the annual Port Sorell to Penguin Island ocean swim every March.
