📖 About Grand Flaneur Beach

Grand Flaneur Beach is the westernmost beach in Sydney, located on the shores of Chipping Norton Lake — a 49-hectare artificial lake in Liverpool managed by Liverpool City Council. The beach is named after the unbeaten 1880 Melbourne Cup-winning racehorse Grand Flaneur, who was buried nearby at Chipping Norton after his death in 1900. It's a calm, family-friendly spot popular with dog walkers, picnickers, and those seeking a relaxed lakeside swim away from the ocean.
