📖 About Maitland Bay
Maitland Bay is a secluded 500-metre sandy beach within Bouddi National Park on the NSW Central Coast, accessible only by a 15–20 minute bushwalk through Hawkesbury sandstone and rainforest. The north-facing bay offers views across the South Pacific toward Barrenjoey Headland and is home to the rusting remains of the SS Maitland, shipwrecked in 1898 and visible at low tide. Its walk-in-only access and national park setting attract bushwalkers, snorkellers, and those seeking a true escape from the crowds.
