📖 About Palana Beach
Palana Beach sits at the northern tip of Flinders Island in Tasmania's Furneaux Group, offering around 2 km of white sand backed by the island's largest system of active dunes — some reaching 50 metres high and extending 4 km inland. One of over 120 beaches on Flinders Island, Palana is wild, uncrowded, and often completely deserted, with crystal-clear water and rolling coastal vegetation. It appeals to adventurous travellers seeking an off-the-beaten-path Tasmanian escape.
