📖 About Paterson Beach

Paterson Beach (also spelled Patterson) is a sheltered beach on the south side of Rottnest Island (Wadjemup), just 19km off the coast of Perth. The island is a car-free nature reserve famous for its quokkas, crystal-clear bays, and excellent snorkelling over fringing reefs. This quiet beach offers calm, turquoise waters ideal for swimming and snorkelling, with a relaxed island atmosphere that makes it a favourite escape from the mainland.
