Pea Soup Beach is a small, sheltered cove on the western side of Port Fairy, tucked behind a protective rock wall that keeps the water unusually calm even when seas are rough elsewhere. Popular with families for its safe swimming, the beach also attracts scuba divers and snorkellers drawn to the rich marine life around its rocky reef — it is considered one of the safer dive sites on the Shipwreck Coast. The quaint setting and easy access from Ocean Drive make it a favourite for locals and visitors alike seeking a gentler alternative to the region's exposed surf beaches.
