Pelican Beach sits just north of Sapphire Beach on the NSW Mid North Coast, roughly 15 km north of Coffs Harbour. The beach offers an open ocean aspect with consistent swell that attracts surfers of all levels, while the wide sandy shore and gentle rips make it manageable for swimmers on calmer days. Backed by coastal heath and low dunes, it remains relatively uncrowded compared to its neighbours and is a favourite for fishing off the rocks at either headland.
