Picnic Bay is a tranquil beach at the southernmost tip of Magnetic Island, just a short ferry ride from Townsville in North Queensland. Formerly known as Camoomilli, the bay is framed by a sweeping sandy shore and the iconic historic jetty, making it a picturesque spot for swimming, beachside dining and fishing. It's the most relaxed and least touristy of Magnetic Island's bays, attracting those after a quiet escape with easy access to local cafes and bushwalking trails.
