Picnic Bay is a beautiful sheltered beach within Wilsons Promontory National Park, reached via a short steep track from the carpark past a lookout offering sweeping views of the park's offshore islands. It forms part of the famous four-beach coastal walk connecting Norman Beach, Squeaky Beach, Picnic Bay and Whisky Bay — a highlight of any visit to the Prom. The calm bay suits swimming and beachcombing, and the rock pools at either end reveal a rich variety of intertidal marine life.
