Porky Beach is a rugged surf beach on the west coast of King Island in Bass Strait, about 15 minutes from Currie, renowned as one of the island's top surf spots alongside Martha Lavinia and Phoques Bay. The beach delivers powerful swells from the Southern Ocean and is a favourite for experienced surfers and rock-hoppers exploring the dramatic coastline. It's best suited to confident swimmers and surfers; non-swimmers will enjoy the wild scenery and excellent fishing.
