Putney Beach is a stunning crescent of fine white sand curving along the northern shore of Great Keppel Island, accessible by ferry from Rosslyn Bay marina near Yeppoon. Backed by low dunes, tropical trees, and rock pools at its northern end, it offers crystal-clear warm water ideal for swimming and snorkelling over nearby coral. The beach is only minutes from the island ferry terminal and suits families, day-trippers and anglers chasing whiting, trevally and flathead along the shoreline.
