Shoalwater Creek Beach is a remote, largely inaccessible stretch of shoreline on the central Queensland coast near the Shoalwater Bay Military Training Area, roughly 50 km north of Yeppoon. The surrounds feature tidal flats, mangrove estuaries and coastal scrub that support rich birdlife and fish populations largely undisturbed by human activity. Its restricted military-zone access makes it best suited to self-sufficient adventurers and anglers with local knowledge of permit requirements.
