📖 About West Strahan Beach
West Strahan Beach sits on Tasmania's dramatic west coast as part of Ocean Beach, one of Australia's longest unbroken stretches of coastline at over 37 kilometres. Reached via an unsealed road about 6km from the historic port town of Strahan, the beach is framed by towering sand dunes — some stretching several kilometres inland — and faces the raw Southern Ocean, with Patagonia the next landmass west. Powerful surf, spectacular sunsets, and unspoilt Wilderness World Heritage surrounds make it a magnet for surfers, photographers, and adventurous travellers.
