📖 About West Tomahawk Beach

West Tomahawk Beach is a wild, exposed beach on Tasmania's north coast near the tiny village of Tomahawk, east of Bridport. Backed by coastal heath and fronting the Bass Strait, the beach offers wide open sand with excellent surf and rock fishing, though strong winds and currents make it unsuitable for inexperienced swimmers. The area is prized by surfers, anglers, and campers who love rugged, remote beaches with a genuine sense of wilderness.
