📖 About Wingan Inlet

Wingan Inlet is a remote wilderness beach within Croajingolong National Park in far east Gippsland, Victoria, accessible via West Wingan Road off the Princes Highway. Sheltered from ocean swells, the calm inlet waters reach depths of 22 metres and are perfect for swimming, canoeing and kayaking, with a 1.4 km boardwalk nature trail leading from the campground to the beach. With no mobile reception and basic facilities, it suits adventurous campers and anglers who prize isolation — the estuary is rich with bream, and offshore islands host resident seal colonies.
