πŸ“– About Belongil Beach

Belongil Beach is a 2.5-kilometre stretch of natural coastline immediately north of Byron Bay town centre, separated from Main Beach by Belongil Creek and backed by dunes and coastal wetlands. Quieter and less developed than Byron's famous main beach, it draws experienced surfers chasing powerful swells as well as nature lovers and locals looking for an uncrowded walk. The northern end is clothing-optional, the beach is dog-friendly, and it is patrolled by lifeguards on select dates during summer.
