📖 About Cow Bay

Cow Bay is a wild, tropical beach in the heart of the Daintree — where the world's oldest rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, tumbles down to meet the Coral Sea roughly 120 kilometres north of Cairns. The long arc of sand is remote and largely undeveloped, fringed by dense vegetation and backed by ancient rainforest sounds. Swimming is strongly discouraged year-round due to estuarine crocodiles and, in season, potentially deadly marine stingers, making it a destination for scenery and nature rather than a swim.
