πŸ“– About Murramarang Beach

Murramarang Beach (NSW 489) trends southeast for 950 m from the boundary headland with Garnet beach, to Murramarang Point. The beach is afforded some protection by Brush Island which extend 2 km east of the point, with waves averaging about 1 m, These maintain a continuous bar cut by rips during periods of higher waves, when two boundary and three beach rips are usually generated, two either side of a reef just off the centre of the beach. The beach is backed by a vegetated foredune, and 3 ha Swan Lake drained by a small southern creek, with a second small creek crossing against the northern rocks.
