๐Ÿ“– About Okines Beach

Okines Beach is a 1-kilometre sandy strip running north from Dodges Ferry along the eastern shore of the inner entrance to Pittwater, about 40 minutes south-east of Hobart. Named after 19th-century landowner Ernest Okines, it's one of several calm beaches in the area that have long made Dodges Ferry a favourite Tasmanian holiday destination. The sheltered bay conditions make it ideal for families and safe swimming, and it sits within easy reach of boating and fishing on Frederick Henry Bay.
