Picnic Point South is a quiet pocket beach on the East Gippsland coast near Mallacoota, sheltered by low headlands and backed by coastal heathland. The calm, clear waters are well suited to swimming and kayaking, and the unhurried atmosphere makes it a favourite with families and campers from the nearby Mallacoota Inlet area. Walking tracks connect the beach to surrounding reserves with excellent birdlife.
