📖 About Steep Head Is (E 6)

Steep Head Island (E 6) is a remote coastal feature on the wild and largely inaccessible Kimberley coast of Western Australia, in the rugged archipelago country north of the Mitchell Plateau at around 14 degrees south. The Kimberley's coastline is one of the last great wilderness coastlines on Earth, characterised by towering red sandstone cliffs, tidal rivers, crocodile-inhabited waters, and extraordinary marine biodiversity in a region accessible only by sea or air. It suits expedition cruisers, adventure boaters, and those fortunate enough to explore the Kimberley coast aboard a chartered vessel or small ship cruise.
