Sunset Beach is a small, relaxed beach in Fannie Bay, Darwin, celebrated for its spectacular sunsets over the Timor Sea — a favourite evening ritual for locals and visitors alike. Tucked near the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, it is one of the few dog-friendly stretches along the Fannie Bay foreshore and popular for evening strolls and fishing. Swimming is possible but seasonal — avoid October to May when marine stingers are present.
