๐Ÿ“– About Mindil Beach

Mindil Beach is Darwin's most iconic social beach, sitting just minutes from the CBD in the suburb of The Gardens and famous for its world-class dry-season sunset markets held every Thursday and Sunday from May to October. The wide, ochre-hued sandy shore faces west, delivering spectacular sunsets over the Timor Sea that have become a Darwin institution, with crowds gathering to watch the show over a cold drink. Swimming is not recommended due to saltwater crocodiles and box jellyfish during the wet season, but the beach hosts the annual Darwin Beer Can Regatta and remains a vibrant community gathering point year-round.
