family-friendly sheltered scenic fishing swimming

๐Ÿ“– About Cullen Beach

Cullen Beach is a small but popular tropical beach tucked into Cullen Bay in Darwin's inner suburb of Larrakeyah, just minutes from the CBD. Framed by a calm, sheltered bay and the upscale Cullen Bay Marina, it's a favourite spot for families to picnic with fish and chips while watching boats drift past at sunset. Note that swimming is generally discouraged during the wet season due to marine stinger risk, but the beachside atmosphere and waterfront dining precinct attract visitors year-round.
